Mental health and the importance of identifying the signs is important to all of us here at Coral Products (Mouldings) LTD.
STATE OF MIND SPORT are a charity that harnesses the power of sport and promotes positive mental health ultimately to prevent suicide.
First established in UK Super League in 2011, State of Mind Sport is now a much-loved national charity and international movement delivering its message across rugby league, rugby union, multiple other sports, age groups, territories and business. They raise awareness of the issues surrounding mental health and well-being and deliver education on the subject to all levels of sport, business, education and community groups. Today they visited Coral Products (Mouldings) LTD to discuss mental health focusing upon men’s mental health.
The Coral Products (Mouldings ) LTD Management Team benefited today through two representatives from the charity presenting a heartfelt and empowering presentation, high lighting the importance of awareness for men and that we should enable them to have open discussion and create opportunity to share issues and feelings, providing this opportunity is vital for the well-being of our male staff. The experiences shared were powerful and had an impact on all our Management Team.
Em Long Coral Products (Mouldings) LTD Marketing Manager attended today’s training “ The speakers today addressed an issue for many men that would not have been discussed previously, mental health awareness is important.
We know that staff with a positive mind and attitude and have opportunity to share and discuss matters that are impacting their lives is beneficial for our business, it enables a good working environment, and gives us the opportunity to support one another as a team.
Our most valuable asset are our staff, we strive to provide them with support and encourage them to develop and seek opportunity where they can, today was beneficial for all those that attended, it highlighted how we can make a difference, and how important it is to give people time to talk, we run an EAP programme which many staff have benefited from, and will continue to progress with training and raising awareness of mental health issues to support our staff.”
